Listening: using listening to identify irregular operations is a very common method. If the bearing is in good operating condition, it will make a low whine sound. If it makes sharp hiss, squeak and other irregular sounds, it often indicates that the bearing is in poor operation. Sharp squeaks may be caused by improper lubrication; Improper bearing clearance will also cause metal sound; The dent on the raceway of the bearing outer ring will cause vibration and cause a smooth and crisp sound; If the knocking scar caused during installation will also produce noise, the noise will vary with the bearing speed; If there is intermittent noise, it indicates that the rolling parts may be damaged; If there are pollutants in the bearing, it will often cause hiss; Serious bearing damage will produce irregular and huge abnormal sound.
Touch: high temperature often indicates that the bearing is in abnormal working condition, and high temperature is also harmful to the lubricant of the bearing. If the bearing operates for a long time at a temperature of more than 120 ℃, the service life of the bearing will be greatly reduced. The reasons for the increase of bearing operating temperature include insufficient or excessive lubrication, impurities in the lubricant, excessive load, bearing damage, insufficient clearance and high friction of oil seal, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously monitor the bearing temperature.
