Correct handling of cylindrical roller bearing faults

The failure of cylindrical roller bearing during operation is a common occurrence, so there is no need to make a fuss. When a fault occurs, the key is to judge the cause of the fault and deal with it properly.
During the operation of the mechanism, the part where the cylindrical roller bearing is installed is allowed to have a certain temperature. When touching the mechanism shell by hand, it should be normal not to feel hot. Otherwise, it indicates that the bearing temperature is too high.
The reasons for high bearing temperature are: the quality of lubricating oil does not meet the requirements or deteriorates, and the viscosity of lubricating oil is too high; The mechanism assembly is too tight (insufficient clearance); The bearing assembly is too tight; The bearing race rotates on the shaft or in the shell; Excessive load; Broken bearing cage or rolling element, etc.
1) The roundness of shaft and seat hole and the perpendicularity of retaining shoulder shall be required according to the corresponding accuracy of cylindrical roller bearing.
2) It is necessary to accurately calculate both the interference of the rotating ferrule and the appropriate fit of the fixed ferrule. The burning interference of rotating ferrule should also be small within the possible range. As long as the effect of thermal expansion at the working temperature and the effect of centrifugal force at the maximum speed are ensured, the creep or sliding of the tight fitting surface will not be caused. According to the working load and bearing size, the fixed ring selects a very small clearance fit or interference fit. Too loose or too tight is not conducive to maintaining the original accurate shape.
3) If the bearing operates at high speed and the working temperature is high, special attention shall be paid to the matching of rotating ferrule not to be too loose to prevent eccentric vibration, and the matching of fixed ferrule shall not have clearance to prevent deformation and vibration of ferrule under load.
The rolling bearing is allowed to make slight running noise during operation. If the noise is too loud or there is abnormal noise or impact sound, it indicates that the bearing is faulty.
The causes of rolling bearing noise are complex. One is the wear of the mating surfaces of the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Due to this kind of wear, the matching relationship between bearing and shell, cylindrical roller bearing and shaft is damaged, resulting in the axis deviation from the correct position and abnormal noise when the shaft moves at high speed. When the bearing is tired, the metal on its surface will peel off, which will also increase the radial clearance of the bearing and produce abnormal noise.
