The skill of removing and disassembling the outer spherical bearing

The outer spherical bearing is an automatic centering bearing with sealing cover on both sides of the bearing, which is spherical on the outer surface of the outer ring of the bearing. 390000 series outer spherical bearings are commonly used in agricultural machinery, and more than 30 discs are used on a locomotive. 390000 series outer spherical bearing is fixed with the shaft by eccentric sleeve, and the hexagon screw on the eccentric sleeve plays a fastening role. In the maintenance, many operators will not dismantle the bearing, so it is necessary to introduce the technical points and precautions for dismantling 390000 series outer spherical bearings:

1、 Removal

1. first loosen the locking screw on the bearing eccentric sleeve with the Allen wrench, then insert the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve of the top cover with a small iron bar, and loosen the eccentric sleeve against the rotation direction of the shaft.

2. loosen the bolts that hold the bearing pedestal. Remove the bearing with the bearing housing from the shaft. Before removing the bearing pedestal at one end of the shaft, loosen the bearing seat bolts at the other end of the shaft to avoid the damage caused by the bearing at both ends.

2、 Installation

1. before installing the bearing on the shaft, the fixing pin of the bearing jacket must be pulled off, and the surface of the journal shall be polished and clean, and the journal shall be coated with oil, rust proof and lubrication (it is allowed to rotate the bearing slightly on the shaft).

2. apply lubricating oil on the mating surface of bearing seat and bearing, and install the bearing into the bearing seat. Then, the assembled bearing and bearing pedestal are set on the shaft. Push to the required position for installation.

3. do not tighten the bolts fixing the bearing pedestal, and make the bearing shell rotate in the bearing pedestal. Also install the other end bearing and seat on the same shaft, rotate the shaft for several turns, and make the bearing itself automatically align the position. Then fasten the bearing seat bolts.

4. install eccentric sleeve. First, the eccentric sleeve is set on the eccentric step of the bearing inner sleeve, and then the small iron rod is inserted or counter the counterbore of the eccentric sleeve by hand. The small iron rod is hit along the axis rotation direction with the hammer to make the eccentric sleeve firmly installed and finally the hexagon screw on the eccentric sleeve is locked.
